- Works very good here, me and my friends all have an exra conector at the
- back of our amiga 1200.I was the first of us to have such a connector. We
- thought of when my harddrive crashed and i wanted to keep this hd and put a
- new internal hd in.
-
- So then we thought of the external IDE connector. We just made a cable from the
- internal IDE connector to the back of my 1200 and put a 44 pin connector
- there. Then we put my hdin external casing(3.5 inch diskdrive casing) and made
- a cable to connect the hd to the 44pin IDE connector.
-
- A few months later we decided to test if this connector wouldwork with an IDE
- cd rom drive also and guess what...it works perfectly with the atapi.device.
-
- Neither of us has en exttra power supply for the hd/cd rom drive. it all works
- on a standard ( hmmm there's no real standard in a1200 power supplies
- i think) a1200 power supply.Btw both my hd's are 3.5 inch drives one 420 meg
- and one 250 meg but a friend of mine has a 1.2 gig hd and this also works very
- well.

- I assume you mean you can't remove the hd when the computer is running ?
- ..that's true...interfere with tv reception ???...dunno what you mean here...
