  27. Works very good here, me and my friends all have an exra conector at the
  28. back of our amiga 1200.I was the first of us to have such a connector.We
  29. thought of when my harddrive crashed and i wanted to keep this hd and put a
  30. new internal hd in.

  32. So then we thought of the external IDE connector.We just made a cable from the
  33. internal IDE connector to the back of my 1200 and put a 44 pin connector
  34. there.Then we put my hdin external casing(3.5 inch diskdrive casing) and made
  35. a cable to connect the hd to the 44pin IDE connector.

  37. A few months later we decided to test if this connector wouldwork with an IDE
  38. cd rom drive also and guess what...it works perfectly with the atapi.device.

  40. Neither of us has en exttra power supply for the hd/cd rom drive. it all works
  41. on a standard ( hmmm there's no real standard in a1200 power supplies
  42. i think) a1200 power supply.Btw both my hd's are 3.5 inch drives one 420 meg
  43. and one 250 meg but a friend of mine has a 1.2 gig hd and this also works very
  44. well.
